They want to make devices with great quality-price ratio. They avoided the battle for the entry and middle level market. Main focus was to challenge the greatest smartphones available and offer half their price. OnePlus learns from mistakes and quickly corrects them. The community appreciates the approach becoming one of the best mobile phones manufacturer.
This review is about the OnePlus 3T. A little improvement from the last year OnePlus 3, the “T” naming is similar to the “S” in iPhones.
The device has top end tech, such as a beautiful 5.5 inch optic AMOLED display, Full HD resolution and 401 pixel density. Corning Gorilla Glass 4 is protecting the screen. It comes with a high end processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 on 64 bits architecture clocked at 2×2.35 GHz and for power saving purposes the other two cores will work on 1.6 GHz. Working with the processor is the 6 GB of RAM making multitasking a breeze. Also has a graphic unit, Andreno 530 providing a great gaming experience. Equipped with 16 megapixels Sony IMX298 sensor the back camera is great while the front camera is…16 megapixels as well. We finally can make selfies and print them so big, it will fit our bedroom wall. As fast as storage goes, we are stuck with the internal 64 GB or 128 GB, no microSD.
A new feature, Dash Charge, charges the 3400 mAh battery to 100% in about one hour. Crazy fast right? The downside of this fast charging is that it won’t work with different equipment.
OnePlus 3T comes in a light simple and elegant package. Inside we find the device with a plastic foil on top the screen, USB 2.0 cable – USB Type-C, Dash Charge charger, SIM card remove key and some safety guides. Sadly, no headphones within the package.
